OmniMD formulary checks allow prescribers to change medications based on each patient’s insurance coverage. Users can check to see whether a drug is On- or Non-Formulary. If a drug is not part of the formulary, available alternates are suggested.
The OmniMD medical record system also provides drug-to-drug interaction, drug-to-disease interaction, and drug-to-patient allergy checks during drug prescription. The system classifies potential interactions as minor, moderate, or major.
The drug-to-disease component of the system is meant to analyze a patient’s drug regimen, allergies, and known conditions or diseases.
