Absolutely. Geography is completely irrelevant to OmniMD usage. We provide a Web-based system that can be used by anyone in the US and abroad. We can set up each account and provide training from our US office or we can visit the client’s site. OmniMD uses “point-and-click” forms to record a patient encounter. With automatic prompts, this feature allows a patient’s narrative to be created by simply selecting logical choices within phrases, macros and lists. The directory of the phrases, lists and macros is exhaustive enough to cover a large range of clinical situations. Users have the added flexibility of incorporating their own, if needed.

Can I chart at the point of care?

Yes, you can have computers with Internet access at each workstation for example, one at reception, one in the examination room and one in each consultation room to chart at each point of care. You can also access OmniMD from your handheld or pocket devices.

Does OmniMD handle medical transcription?

Yes, OmniMD has developed a transcription work-flow management system. This Web- and smart phone–compliant transcription software manages the transcription cycle from beginning to end by integrating voice recording, digital scripting, delivery to the transcription service and final transcript receipt. In addition, OmniMD provides transcription services to function as a one-source delivery partner.

How does OmniMD handle referring letters?

Patient data can be exchanged with physicians within the same clinic as well as with external members for referring patients. The system designates limited rights to an external doctor to log in and view patient data. OmniMD provides the added capability of faxing the referring letter and patient details right from a desktop to referring physicians who do not have Internet or desktop access.

Can you print, fax and/or email consulting and referring letters to multiple referring physicians?

Yes, letters can be faxed, emailed or printed directly from the system to multiple physicians.

Lab Order Integration

Can I write lab requests with OmniMD?

The physician can directly order patient tests form OmniMD EHR to the labs for fast processing and immediate action. Performed tests can be directly transmitted from the lab to be attached with the patient record in the EHR.

Does OmniMD integrate lab and test results?

Yes, OmniMD is a completely HL7-compliant system, which enables full integration with all major laboratory systems such as LabCorp, Quest, Bio-Reference, Sunrise, Lenco, Shiel and more than 180 others on the ION Network.

Patient Reminder

How does OmniMD handle patient reminder calls?

The OmniMD patient reminder system is based on an interactive voice recording system. It automatically calls patients and informs them of their upcoming appointments. The system also notes appointment confirmations or denials and updates them in the scheduler.

Insurance Eligibility Check

Can OmniMD check a patient’s insurance eligibility?

Yes, OmniMD provides online insurance eligibility verification. Patients’ insurance eligibility can be verified within seconds across insurance companies.

Integration Services

Can OmniMD applications interface with legacy systems?

Yes, our open architecture framework is designed to interface with legacy systems.

Will OmniMD share patient information with my billing system?

Does OmniMD EHR work with handheld devices?

Yes, OmniMD works on most Web-enabled devices.

Are your applications wireless?

Yes, the applications are wireless enabled. The mobile and the handheld devices interact with each other wirelessly through the server to update changes. The physicians can also download the latest patient data from the central server on the handheld for offline use. These devices can communicate with central servers via various transportation mechanisms such as synchronization using desktop cradles, wireless LAN, wireless modem or a cell phone.

Does OmniMD EHR work with Apple devices?

Yes, OmniMD works on Apple devices, such as the iPhone, the iPad, and other Mac computers and notebooks.

Support & Training

Will you assist with hardware purchasing and installation?

Yes, we offer full assistance to ensure that your purchase and installation experience is as smooth and easy as possible.

Does OmniMD provide both software and hardware support?

OmniMD only provides software support. Hardware support is the responsibility of the hardware vendor who provides the same.

What about upgrades, fixes and maintenance?

The monthly subscription fee includes free upgrades and software fixes for the life of the contract. While the drug database is updated quarterly, ICD and CPT code databases are updated on a yearly basis.

What training plans do you offer?

We will provide initial off-site training on use of the system at no additional charge. After that, we can provide off-site or on-site training charged separately.

Is it easy to get support from OmniMD if we need it?

We provide users with a user manual for self-troubleshooting as well as a dedicated email and phone line for timely support. Our support staff is available between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST to assist you with your concerns.

Does OmniMD come with a manual?

Yes, OmniMD has a printed manual we leave with you, as well as help files and an online manual that may be viewed over the Internet at our website.


Is OmniMD HIPAA compliant?

No, you will only have to invest if you have not already in desktop or portable computers or tablets subject to the number of doctors, examination rooms, etc. Costly application server software and hardware are included with the purchase of OmniMD EHR.
